Which bunch of idiots should run the country? by

If you look at the three colours Google has chosen as the first three colours for charts, you'll realise this poll was almost inevitable...

And don't worry, this is completely anonymous and unofficial.

So please fill in the form, and enjoy the appropriately coloured graph:

Hello, I'm a Mac. I'm a PC. And I'm Linux. by

Writing about web page https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?key=pHtXzcM6CuvUYew1XvmT_GQ

"Windows, or Mac?", a question that can split a room... as long as the room contains the right people. Of course, the correct answer is "Linux"...

So, if you can hold off on the "holy war" for a second, please fill in the form, and enjoy the pretty graph (and, before you ask: no, it is not just your imagination; they really is no consistency in the configuration of the graphs...):

Operating System Preference poll

UPDATE: I've just done a couple of graphs comparing the preferences.

The first one is the number of people who said they prefer a particular operating system, given as a percentage of the total number of responses. These three figures will, of course, add up to 100%, and so can accurately be represented as a pie chart (that's one reason I wanted to add them: more pie charts...):

Percentage of respondents that prefer the Operating System

This second one shows what Operating System people prefer against which one they use:

Wii, Xbox 360, or PS3? by

Which of the three current home consoles do you own, and which is your favourite?

So please fill in the form, and enjoy the graph (which is slightly prettier this time since it has multiple colours):

7th Generation Home Console graph

UPDATE: I've just done a couple of graphs comparing the preferences.

The first one is the number of people who said they prefer a particular console, given as a percentage of the total number of responses. These three figures will, of course, add up to 100%, and so can accurately be represented as a pie chart (that's one reason I wanted to add them: I hadn't had a pie chart yet...):

Percentage of respondents that prefer the console

This second one shows what consoles people prefer against what console they own:

Internet Explorer, or a browser that actually works? by

Writing about web page http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?key=pHtXzcM6CuvXNF92VcwHzGA

I know I've already done this one, but this time the poll includes Opera, Safari, and "Other"...

If you go for "Other", feel free to leave a comment giving its name.

So please fill in the form, and enjoy the pretty graph:

When were you born? by

A large number of the people that I know have birthdays in either May or October. At least, that's the people that I know where I also know their birthday...

I decided to use Google Docs to see what distribution of birthdays I get from the people who read this blog entry that also decide to fill in the form.

So please fill in the form, and enjoy the pretty graphs:

UPDATE: In response to a comment about privacy, I should point out that all the form asks for is the day and the month. The year is not required, and no other personal information is taken; it's completely anonymous.
